Shonette Bason is an International Early Years Consultant and practitioner who has designed an Early CLL program which is sure to raise standards in writing and reading through a number of different ways.

Shonette takes delegates on the journey of the squiggle and inspires a mark making approach that focuses early squiggles in to a developmental approach that accelerates writing.

Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle then looks at 'Igniting the Imagination' of the child and has a motivational approach to developing a child's mind away from TV characters and into their own self empowered imagination - a necessary tool for high level writing.

Squiggle also contains Shonette's shoestring approach to reading, which uses brain based learning to input key words and to get a child reading out loud as soon as possible.

Fun, Focused Foundation Stage

Shonette will inspire teams to produce her movement based pedagogy within their own classrooms. She will show how to create an inspirational curriculum which meets the needs of the children in your setting.

Shonette will journey through everything that's needed to run a tight Foundation/key stage 1 classroom. Planning, assessment, practical ideas, indoors and outdoors.

Shonette will tackle child initiated learning and focus activities. She will show practitioners how to create a happy balance between formal curriculum's and child led learning. This is an action packed day full of laughter and learning for all.

Outdoor Learning - on a shoestring

This training was filmed for Teachers TV and titled inspirational CPD. It looks at one of the most difficult areas of a primary school - the outdoor classroom.

Shonette can get a whole school to see the outdoor environment as a different learning platform. One that is much needed in our modern children's lives.

Shonette, herself on a shoestring budget, built an outstanding outdoor classroom in an urban area and inspired the rest of the primary school to take their curriculum outdoors. This one day training will inspire your teams to take learning outdoors.

She will come into your Early Years setting and observe practice and make an action plan with you to help you drive progress in the areas you want to work on.
